On the past June 25, Condado Rock 2022 was held in Rociana del Condado, Huelva, where we travelled to with our friends Ánima Barroca and Pinball Wizard to delight the audience of Rociana with Sevillian metal and hard rock. The festival was organized by Radio Rociana in collaboration with the Council of Rociana in Plaza de España, a unique venue since it was located next to the Church of San Bartolomé.
The bands parted from Camas in a bus courtesy of the fest organization, not only with the band members but also with our closest friends, making the trip a party where we sang and laughed, making the journey more fun. When we got to Rociana, we were invited to a great snack where we tasted typical local sweets and talked about the event.
Just after the snack, the soundcheck was carried out and all kinds of public began to get closer to the stage, from kids to old people. We also were surprised to see metalheads from the surroundings, even from Sevilla and Huelva. It was a great opportunity for the local bars to get their tables to the terraces and turn the square into a feria seasoned with guitars and drums.
Ánima Barroca opened the festival with their potent spanish power metal, followed by the orchestral sounds of Kaelis and finally, Pinball Wizard closed with their crude hard rock.
We went back home very happy, not only for the fantastic relationship with the organization but also for the great reception by the Rociana’s people. We partied again on the bus, hoping to come back to Rociana in the future. We would like to thank Radio Rociana, the Council of Rociana, Johnny and Rociana del Condado for letting us enjoy such an amazing night. El pasado 25 de junio tuvo lugar el Condado Rock 2022 en Rociana del Condado, provincia de Huelva, hacia donde viajamos con nuestros amigos de Ánima Barroca y Pinball Wizard para deleitar al público rocianero con metal y hard rock sevillanos. El festival fue organizado por Radio Rociana en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento del pueblo en la Plaza de España, escenario único ya que se situó junto a la Iglesia de San Bartolomé.
Las bandas salieron desde Camas en un autobús cortesía de la organización del festival, donde no solo fueron los miembros de las mismas sino también nuestros amigos más cercanos, convirtiendo el viaje en una divertida fiesta donde se cantaron canciones de todo tipo, haciendo el viaje más ameno. Una vez llegados a Rociana, de nuevo la organización del festival invitó a las bandas y amigos a una megamerienda donde probamos los dulces más típicos de la zona y charlamos del evento.
Durante la prueba de sonido, que tuvo lugar justo después de la merienda, empezaron a acercarse a la plaza todo tipo de público, desde niños hasta los abuelos del pueblo. Tampoco se quisieron perder el festival los amantes del rock de los alrededores, incluso de Sevilla y Huelva. Fue una gran oportunidad para los bares de la zona de sacar todas las mesas a las terrazas y convertir así la plaza en una especie de feria ambientada con guitarras y baterías.
Ánima Barroca abrió el festival con su potente power metal en castellano, después Kaelis llenó la plaza de sonidos orquestales y finalmente, Pinball Wizard cerró el festival con su visceral directo.
Nos volvimos muy contentos de allí, tanto por el trato de la organización como por la gran acogida del pueblo, montando una fiesta en el autobús de vuelta y deseando volver en el futuro. Muchas gracias a Radio Rociana, al Ayuntamiento de Rociana, a Johnny y al público rocianero por dejarnos disfrutar de una noche tan maravillosa. Y a María Barragán por ayudaros y por estas maravillosas capturas.
